Whensadnesswasthesea- 30 Day Challenge

Day 6:  Write 30 interesting facts about yourself.

1. If you say retarded or don’t support equality and acceptance I will think less of you.

2. I used to have a huge pink streak in my hair that everyone thought I got cause I was angsty and wanted to be cool, when really my mom said I could get it as a present after my eye disease finally went away after 3 years of weekly shots and hourly eye drops.

3. My hair and nails grow really fast even though I hate milk and never drink it.

5. I faint when I get anxious or dehydrated or get a blood test sitting up.

5. My sister, brother and I all have anxiety as well as some other respective quirks despite the fact that we have a sparkly mental health family history.

6. My sister and I are practically telepathically connected and are each other’s best friends.

7. My sister, brother & I all work at a camp for kids with special needs and love them way more than is socially acceptable, quoting them throughout the year.

8.I have a fort in my room that I made out of a mattress, two sheets, lanyard, binder clips, and Christmas lights. I hide there pretty much all the time.

9. I collect umbrellas.

10. I love scavenger hunts.

11. I wish I were a whale.

12.I think skunks are cute.

13. I anthropomorphize my family’s Christmas tree and name it and decide if it likes me or it doesn’t as well as various household appliances (the dishwasher and the fridge are unfriendly.)

14. I’d rather get lost in the woods with someone then take a walk on the beach with them.

15. I love eating snow.

16. I collect tea.

17. I’ve never been in love but was convinced I was for about 3 years.

18. I’m addicted to hot chocolate.

19. I’ve broken a lot of the rules I’ve set for myself and have a hard time with the fact that the world can’t be black and white.

20. I can’t decide if I want to study English, Astronomy, Marine Biology, or Psychology.

21. I feel like I’m wasting my life by following other people’s rules and that thought deeply unsettles me.

22. When I look up into the sky I imagine myself seeing all the way up into the stars and I feel indescribably stuck on this Earth.

23. I think there’s great value in listening and giving a chance to what other people think even if you don’t agree at all and it’s difficult.

24. I am deeply overwhelmingly stuck inside my head and need to spend more time in the outside world.

25. I’ve been a vegetarian since I was nine

26. I have a rabbit.

27. I write 50,000 words every November.

28. I have a Canon SLR that is one of my most prized possessions.

29. If I had to pull something out of my burning house besides my rabbit, it would be my signed copies of Looking for Alaska and Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green.

30. I write because it’s the only way I know how to sift through my thoughts and try and describe the indescribable process of life.
